Cautionary Tales

Okay, you remember that HRG wanted to move the Bennets again. Well, they start out by packing things up, but down the stairs comes Claire in her cheerleader suit telling her dad that she isn’t moving, she is going to school. She yells at dear daddy telling him that she knows he abducts heroes, and then she tells him that she hates him. Off she goes to find West and apologize, adorably by spelling out “Sorry” in rocks, only West doesn’t believe that she had nothing to do with the abductions. Back at the house, HRG tells his wife that he did take West when he was 12 years old, and then shows her the painting that depicts his death. He then calls Mohinder to have him get Molly to track and find West. He leaves to go to the school to get Claire, when West swoops in (literally) and abducts him.

Mohinder calls to give him West’s whereabouts once West and HRG have touched ground again. They decide, after dad tells West that Claire had nothing to do with what happened to West, to form an alliance to save Claire. In the meantime, Bob is at Claire’s school, and when he calls her Miss Bennett, she sees a red flag and runs off. Claire runs home and sees the painting of HRG, just about the time that Bob shows up with a gun. He ties up Mrs. Bennett and takes off with Claire.

Oh, just about forgot to tell you that when Bob and Mohinder arrive in California, they run into Elle, who is lounging around out by the pool in a bikini. Bob introduces her to Mohinder as his daughter! Really didn’t see that one coming. After Bob takes off with Claire, HRG and Mohinder, who have met up, with Mohinder telling HRG that the company needs Claire, or more specifically her blood, to save people from the virus. They then meet up with Elle. As she starts to zap HRG, West swoops in and saves him, knocking her out. Mohinder and HRG then get into a struggle, after Mohinder points a gun at him (remember the picture?). HRG overcomes Mohinder and West stops him just as he is about to put a bullet in his head. He kicks him instead and they take Elle and leave. They take her to the Bennet home, where they find Mrs. Bennet, and the fact that Bob has Claire. They put Elle in a chair, all tied up with her feet in Mr. Muggles doggy bath. When she wakes up(after he sprays her with water), and tries to zap him, she shocks herself. That was literally the best part of tonight’s show. Oh, that and when HRG asks her “stings like a b*tch don’t it?” Then he calls Bob on Elle’s cell and they make a plan to meet and swap daughters. Before they leave, Bob takes some of Claire’s blood. They meet up at the beach, swap daughters, and West takes Claire into the blue to keep her safe. Elle turns around and zaps them, causing them to hit the ground. HRG shoots Elle, and decides that if he kills Bob, then the company’s reign of terror is over, but before he has a chance, Mohinder shoots him! In the eye, just like the painting. But, don’t get too upset, just wait until I hit the end of the show.

Now, while all this drama is unfolding, Hiro has gone back in time, from his father’s funeral, to save his dad. Kaito, however, thinks that it is his fate to die, and does not want Hiro to help him. Hiro then takes him to his mother’s funeral, to show his father how he feels. Kaito agrees that when his wife died, it was the saddest day of his life, however, after talking to young Hiro, who by the way was a very adorable child, Hiro decides that his father is right and takes him back to the rooftop to accept his fate. While there, however, he freezes time. He tells Ando (who can’t hear him because he is frozen) that if he can’t save his father, then at least he can find out who killed him. And, drum roll please, it’s Adam, or Kensai, whichever you prefer. Like we didn’t all see that one coming.

Parkman has convinced his boss, in the meantime, to let him see Angela Patrelli once again. He has finally gotten control over his mind control powers, and can just about get anyone to do whatever he wants. That would be the coolest power! Anyway, he forces her, through the mind control, to tell him about Adam, and she informs him that he is 400 years old, and has the ability to regenerate. This is when he learns about the new woman, Joanna Cassidy. Angela swears that she promised never to reveal Joanna’s location, and warns Parkman that if he forces her to tell, then he will ultimately turn into his father.

Not much happened anywhere except for with HRG. So, back to that. At the end of the episode, with Mrs. Bennet clearly distressed, and Claire kicking herself for having said “I hate you” to HRG, we see a body lying on a table, receiving blood. You guessed it, it’s HRG himself back from the dead! Now isn’t he lucky that Bob stole Claire’s blood?
