Out Of Time

Tonight’s Heroes was appropriately titled “Out of Time”, and it seems that everyone is running out of time. First of all, Peter and Caitlan were, after last week, transported to the future, where they found out that 93% of the world’s population was killed by a virus. Now, we know what virus they are talking about, but they don’t. Caitlan was taken away to be deported by to Ireland, and Peter was brought in to see Angela. Apparently she did not get killed in the present after all. After she spoke “motherly” to him, he did finally remember who he was, and what he can do, only to leave the future and end up back in the present, without Caitlan.

Oh, and Kensei will be a long term player in the role of Adam, who knows Peter. Very confusing, I know. Hiro is now back in the present, also, and found out last night that his father was killed. The good-bye between him and Yaeko is very heart wrenching, as she tells him that as far as she is concerned, he will always be the real Kensei. Kensei, himself, is actually dead, or so they think, after he is blown up with White Beard’s army. Hiro then teleports back to the present, finally, and meets up with Ando, who gives him the grave news of his father.

Back at the company, Bob is forced to evacuate, because Maury, Matt’s father, is on his way in to kill Bob. In this setting is where we learn that Adam was the mastermind behind the killings, and won’t stop until he wreaks revenge on the older generation heroes. Matt, while trying to stop his father, gets trapped in Molly’s nightmare, but he does pull his father in with him, who is a little surprised that Matt could do that. Matt is actually surprised as well. He does finally tell his father off (best part of the night) and he and Molly leave the little apartment that they are trapped in, leaving Matt’s dear old dad behind. When Matt comes to, his father is lying motionless on the floor, apparently forever trapped in his own nightmare, and Molly finally wakes up.

Before Matt could trap Maury, however, he got to Nikki, who was ready to kill Bob with the virus by injecting him. She was seeing her own nightmare of DL telling her that she was no good, and the only way to save Micah was to kill Bob. While Nathan and Bob try to stop her, she injects herself to stop the nightmare. Not a problem, Mohinder can just give her his blood as an antedote, right? Wrong. This virus is apparently a new strain, and his blood is no longer effective. Now Nikki is thinking that she will be joining the lost heroes soon.

Let’s skip ahead to Claire and Wes. He comes by to make her waffles, her mother just loves him, and when H.R.G. comes in, Wes tries to get Claire to go with him, to save her from the “man in the horn rimmed glasses”. When she tells him that that man is her father, he thinks that she is working with the company, and leaves. When dear old daddy finds out that Claire has let someone in on their secret, he vows that they must pack up and leave. Claire, however, has a mind of her own and tells him that they can leave, but she is staying put.

Now, back to Adam. Adam is the man who is behind the killings, apparently. He wanted to rule the world with his powers, and the older generation heroes, minus a few puppets that he had control over, stopped him and locked him away. He got out. At the end of the episode, we saw Peter back in Montreal, and someone behind him. Turned out the someone was Kensei/Adam.

Now, next week we get to learn everything that happened right after Peter and Nathan took off to avoid Peter’s exploding and blowing up NYC. There will also be stories about what happened to DL, and a few other things that we need to know.

Until next week………peter-season-one.gif
