The Rest of the Heroes Four Months Ago

Believe it or not DL survived the gunshot wound from Linderman. He, Nikki, and Micah were all set to live happily ever after. After he returned home from the hospital, Micah was intrigued with the idea that they could be a family of superheroes. Nikki, however, was in a funk. She let Bob from the company put her on the medication to suppress her abilities, so that Micah and DL would be safe.

When she got so blah that she couldn’t function, she flushed the meds down the sink, apparently thinking she would be fine without them. In the meantime, DL has gotten a job as a fireman (a true Hero) and Micah is thrilled when he pulls a little girl from a burning house, and they spread it all over the news. Nikki, on her way to a new job selling cars, is surprised when Jessica speaks to her. Only it’s not Jessica, it’s Gina. Gina is a name that Nikki used years ago when she was in L.A. Gina wants to go back to L.A., and try as she may, Nikki just can’t stop her. So here we are trapped in the mirror again. When DL returns home he sees a note in lipstick on the mirror that she has gone to L.A. He’s thinking it’s Jessica of course, and goes after her.

He finds her on a club dance floor, and shows her a picture of the three of them to jog her back. Nikki returns, and they head to leave. The guy that she is dancing with, however, has other plans. The absolute best part of tonight’s episode is when the guy tried to clock DL over the head and his hand went completely through. That was priceless.

On the way out, Nikki and DL are coming down a flight of stairs when the guy from the dance floor returns, puts a gun up against DL’s chest, and shoots him. So, he did survive the first gunshot wound, it was the second one that got him.

At the funeral is where Nikki talks to DL’s family from Louisiana about helping her, and makes her decision to let Bob and the company take away her abilities.

On the other side of the world, Maya and Alejandro are celebrating the his wedding. His new wife, however, doesn’t sit very well with Maya. She walks off with another guy, and Maya goes to look for them. What she finds is them making out. You really had to see that one coming. She freaks out, the guy threatens her to keep her mouth shut, and on comes the virus. Everyone in the wedding celebration is dead except our twin Heroes. Later, while she is praying in church, he comes and tries to convince her to come home. He tells her that he only wants to help. He is, at this point, thinking that she poisoned everyone, because she insisted that she had killed them all. So, her dear brother brought the policia to take her away. She freaks out and kills everyone there, except of course for Alejandro. This is where he learns that he can calm her down and take away the virus. This is also where they decide that it’s best to get out of Dodge while the gettin is good.
